King of Pension Funds -- CD Update

To successfully use the latest executable for The King of Pension Funds follow these instructions.

1. Find the old executable and make a note of its location.

   This will usually be C:\Program Files\The King of Pension Funds\ or C:\Program Files\Prospect Finder\

   If you can not locate the file, use "Find". From the Start flag (lower left-hand corner of screen) go to Find and search for your old executable. Depending on the program it will be named, AMERICAN.EXE (for The King of Pension Funds and American Pension Funds CD-ROM) or JDA.EXE (for Prospect Finder). Once you have found it make note of its location.

2. Delete the executable.

   Delete it in Windows Explorer (or Windows NT Explorer) by right clicking on the file and choosing delete, highlighting the file and going to File Delete, or hitting the Delete key on your keyboard once the file is highlighted.

3. Click on the appropriate patch link below

   King CD Executable

4. Choose "Save this program to disk" on the first screen. Choose the location of the original file (from Step 1) as the destination file for the second screen.

5. Unzip the downloaded file and extract it in this same location. This is also the same location as the original file from Step 1.

To extract the file, use Windows Explorer (or Windows NT Explorer) and double click on the downloaded file. This will launch WinZip ® or a similar program. Click on the executable (AMERICAN.EXE, or JDA.EXE) and select Extract (from button at top, by right clicking on file, or by using Ctrl E). Change the "Extract To:" appropriately.

 

To successfully download the Rtfedit.zip file follow these instructions.

Click on the link, either here or on FAQ page, and choose "Save this program to disk" on the first screen. Download this file to a temporary location (C:\temp or elsewhere). Finally, double click on the setup.exe file and follow the short setup program.
