Version 13 - Fall/Winter 2005-2006

Version 13.03 of our Prospect Finder II software is now available. This version fixes an error that results in too few hits when searching for "Broker Name - DOES NOT EXIST".

These downloads will only update version 13.01 or 13.02 of the products. Earlier versions are unaffected by the error and do not require an update.

This new version will attempt to update your grp5.db or self5.db file. In the unlikely event that this file cannot be opened for writing (e.g. if it is on a CD or read-only file share), it will fail. Please contact tech support before installing this update if that is the case. If you just installed the program normally, you don't have to worry about this.

Instructions

1. Click on the appropriate above link to download the proper appropriate update for the products you have purchased. Save the file to you desktop.
2. Run the downloaded program by double clicking on the new desktop icon.
3. Select the "Maintain" radio button.
4. If you have multiple data sets installed, select the one to update from the list. Most people will only have one data set.
5. Click "Next".
6. If presented with another choice, select "Repair" and then click "next".

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if it worked?

The next time you launch the program, the new version number will appear in the title bar of the program.

Will my notes be preserved?

Your notes are untouched by the update process. If your notes are critical we suggest making a periodic backup of "user.db", which contains your notes and other settings.  The user.db file is usually located at:

C:\Program Files\Judy Diamond Associates\<program name>

How do I re-install the program later?

First re-install the program from the original CD. Then run this updater.

What is the difference between version 13.03 and 13.03a?

There is no difference in features. Version 13.03 is being supplied to existing customers who need the update. It will apply a fix to your existing database.

Version 13.03a is supplied to new customers on the CD-ROM, it does not attempt to update the database, as the database is already correct.
